Gig Bag

A gig bag is light and convenient, and provides enough protection to be the ideal case for carrying an instrument around a festival and for simple travel in a car:
Inside, the bag is padded to protect the instrument's finish from bumping into furniture and through doorways:
Otherwise, there's very little protection from dropping or the kind of damage caused in serious travel.
