Gibson "Nick Lucas"

It's a "maple-back-and-sides-spruce-top-fingerstyle-guitar." But it's more than that. It's a terrific reissue of the extra deep body Nick Lucas model, the one so highly prized by today's fingerstyle and blues players. It looks just like the original, and it's built lightly to sound much like the original.

Nick Lucas was certainly one of the most influential (and successful -"Tiptoe Through the Tulips") guitarists of his day, although this instrument would be a winner even if his name were not attached to it.

Look at the pickguard-
It's that same crazy striped tortoise stuff they used in the 1930s!

Another nice touch -
A reproduction of the original label.

With its classic Gibson sunburst finish all around, this guitar is proof that they can "make 'em like they used to."
