Willie's quilted mahogany

Gryphon's Willie Carter "designed" this one. It's a Santa Cruz fingerstyle "OM" model guitar with some of that spectacular quilted Honduras mahogany - you know, the lumber that's so rare it sells for about the same as Brazilian rosewood. It has Brazilian rosewood, too, in the form of the peghead overlay and binding. All natural wood purflings complete that "traditional" look, and the light scalloped bracing makes for that famous Santa Cruz sound. This one was the first of two identical guitars he ordered for Gryphon, and it sold the day it arrived to the first picker who saw and played it!
