Taku Sakashta's
Emblem 5 "Special"

Taku calls this one "Emblem 5" because it's his interpretation
of the 17-inch Gibson L-5 jazz guitar. It is about the same size and shape as
its famous namesake, but it shows Taku's unerring design sense all over it.
This particular version has a few special touches, including the framed spalted
maple inlay on the peghead. In fact, it was mostly constructed by our friend,
Michihiro Matsuda, under Taku's direction. Michi is currently in the U.S.
studying guitar making five days a week with Ervin Somogyi, spending Saturdays
doing repairs at Gryphon, and Sundays working with Taku Sakashta.
