To get the perfect bridge pin fit, Dan sometimes adds or changes the slots in
bridge pins, This simple fixture is another shop-built item that most of us
ought to consider:
Take a block of hardwood and slot the top with a saw kerf
Drill and ream for a bridge pin:
Add a shim if necessary, to adjust the slot taper:
The scraper is simplicity itself. A screw tapped into the acrylic slide has
an appropriate contour ground into its end:
A few strokes, and the job is done:
Best of all, it's repeatable!
