Acoustic instruments make little (or big) extraneous buzzing noises for a variety
of reasons. The purpose of this article is to help track down the noises that are
not a result of poor technique. All vibrating strings make some buzzing noises naturally, and all instruments
can be made to buzz if you try hard enough.
Tracking down these nasty noises can be quite a chase. Take a look at the Big Buzz List if you'd
like to run through all the possibilities, or go to the Buzz Diagnosis Start Page to answer some questions
about symptoms.
