Lady Stewart

This little 5-string is set to travel. With its nine inch head and 23 inch scale, the enitre instrument is only four inches longer than my Gibson A-4 mandolin. This one was converted to geared pegs quite a while ago, and works well with steel strings.

OK, it wasn't made as a traveler. But the banjo ensemble era is long past, so why not let it do modern duty? By the way, it sounds great tuned to "A."

The Lady Stewart was too small to receive the patented adjustable neck brace.
