This is a fairly rare instrument - a Martin flat back mandolin, style "E." Designed as a companion to the style "45" guitars, this one is made of Brazilian rosewood with a spruce top. It has the full abalone border around the body and "snowflake" fingerboard inlay, along with a special peghead inlay.
