Magnetic Hex Key Rack

A lot of my machines and tools have mixed inch and metric hex socket fasteners. So, I finally decided to make a simple rack that would hold both sets of wrenches, and be convenient to use.

I settled on a holder I could stick on a machine or tool cabinet:

 

It's a piece of salvage aluminum angle extrusion and I stuck five .400" diameter x .300" thick magnets in the support leg. As you can see, I've ground the back corners of the metric wrenches (on the right in this photo) for easy identification:

Here's the rack in its storage location at the side of one of my tool cabinets:

The angled strips aren't for support - they help keep the wrenches hanging neatly.
