I often need to measure the diameter of old banjos that have changed shape over the years, and to do so I spent better than eighty bucks for a certified "Pi Tape," a flexible steel rule that reads out in diameter, with a vernier scale to the nearest thousandth of an inch.
This week I stumbled onto this new (to me at least) Stanley tape measure, that does the same thing, albeit in 64ths of an inch.
