Old
files can live again after they lose their bite. One
of the most sturdy and useful scrapers is simply an old mill file with
one end ground to about a 45 degree angle. Add some masking or duct tape
for comfort, and you have a stout and strong scraping tool. I use this
one for scraping the finish and/or old glue from guitar tops when
regluing bridges.
