Especially if you work on a concrete floor, chances are you have a "fatigue"
mat in front of your workbench. I like this one - I believe it's the kind used
in commercial kitchens so liquid can drain through the holes. Small parts and
bits can drain through there, too. So, when I drop a teeny truss rod cover
screw, it usually lands in one of the holes instead of shooting across the
room as it bounces. I can retrieve it by simply lifting the mat.
