Shop Tip #128

Here's a little trick I've used forever to tie up packages of sensitive items
I don't want to contaminate with the sticky tape adhesives. It works with any
kind of tape, and I'll even use the fiber strapping tape for heavy loads.
I just wind a loop over the item, in this case a nice stack of figured Honduras
mahogany, with the sticky side of the tape facing out. Then, I simply run the
tape back over on itself to seal both sticky sides together:
That way I get a nice tight fitting strap that won't leave a lasting impression.
