Band saw blades up to 3/4" wide are very easy to coil, if you use this
simple technique. Grip the blade at 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions, with
your thumbs laying right along the back edge of the blade. Snag the 12 o'clock
position under any convenient support, such as this vise, a doorknob, table
edge or whatever. Then just bend the blade up in the middle, and arc your thumbs
until they just about touch at the tips. It's quick, easy and safe, and the
blade jumps right into three even coils.
