Take a close look
at this great set of guitar tuners. It's an original installation
on a fine 1867 Martin guitar (style "1-24" should you care). Notice
that the mounting screws (the four small ones countersunk in the plate)
have their slots neatly lined up. That's a sign of old time craftsmanship
for sure! Phillips
heads are a bit less dramatic, but also look good when they're aligned.
Take the extra few seconds to line up the wood screw heads on your projects,
and catch some of that feeling for yourself. Discerning folks will notice
and be impressed. Others may need to have your brilliance shown to them,
but you'll still get coolness points. . .
