Shop Tip #066

I made a pair of these finger savers more than thirty years ago, and I still use them all the time. I just drew the outline of my old Disston crosscut saw handle onto some 3/4" pine shelving and cut them out. They have flat bottoms with a notch at the at the back and at front end for pushing large or small items through the band or table saw. With a stout hand grip I have good control as I work, and thanks to them, I can still count to ten.
