You'll make easy
work of picking things off high hanging supports if you make a simple hook
grabber. Mine is about 3 feet long and is merely a piece of 1/4" steel
rod mounted in a piece of old broomstick for a handle. The nether end is
a hook that's about bent at about ninety degrees so I can lift coils of
stuff that I have hanging overhead. Unlike going to grab a stool or ladder,
this hook makes it as easy to reach high stuff as if I were eight feet
tall.
