I wanted to set up a V-block so I could debur some brass rods on my belt sander. As I thought of how I might clamp the block to the sander table, I realized it was yet another great opportunity to use some of those super strong Neodymium magnets.  Four of the 5/8" diameter ones made a really solid mounting:
