Shop Tip #241

You can dilute epoxy with acetone or alcohol to make a great penetrating sealer as an finish undercoat on porous wood, or even to repair the edges of weatherbeaten or partially rotted outdoor wooden items.  Mix the epoxy first according to manufacturer's directions and then dilute as needed to get the viscosity you need.
