Shop Tip #242
© Frank Ford 2006; Photo by FF

When I go to the plastic shop, I always poke through the scrap bin for thick cutoffs.  It's handy stuff to have around for all kinds of projects, clear clamping cauls, etc. Now, I also peel off the protective sheet before I put it away.  I tend to keep the stuff around the shop for so long that the paper sheet welds itself to the acrylic and can be a real pain to remove. If it gets scratched up I don't really mind because it's so easy to shine up with my buffing wheel.
